The Labrador Retriever is a highly popular dog breed known for its friendly temperament and intelligence. Originating from Newfoundland, Canada, this breed was developed as a waterdog for retrieving game from water, particularly for fowl hunters. The average lifespan of a Labrador Retriever ranges from 11 to 13 years. While they are generally healthy, they may be susceptible to certain health issues such as hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and obesity.
